In addition to the fact that I’ve gotten a number of cheers on this “Thing,” I’m quite sure that passionate living is the life for me. “Dispassionate living” makes me feel tired, grumpy, and surprisingly out-of-control. Many people may equate “passionate living” with keeping yourself so busy that you end up letting things slip through the cracks, but I find it’s the opposite. When I live passionately, I’m engaged with myself, the world around me, and with making progress on the things that are important to me. At the end of the day I may feel tired either way, but one is a “blah” tired and the other is an “ah” tired.

Being the introverted “type B” person that I am, “living passionately” may seem less “passionate” from how other, more driven folks live it, but still I know it’s the life for me!

Should I or shouldn't I? 3 years ago

Living passionately is something I’ve always thought that I’ve wanted, but it’s hard for me to tell if it would put me closer or further from my true self.

I’m an introverted, contemplative person, but does that mean I can’t or shouldn’t live passionately? I honestly don’t know. Have I been living non-passionately because it’s not in my nature, or because I simply haven’t practiced it.

Have any of you other 43thing-ers thought about this and come to any conclusions?
