Higher than God?

I am on a long and hard road when I think about religion. I keep finding inconsistencies in religion and its denominations… then I came to the conclusion that there is no god, but rather probability. But every notion I come up with to support that, I can always (in my mind) think of something that would prove it wrong… EVERY time.
So now I find my self at a point at which I am willing and ready to accept death, just not in any way devised by myself. The reason is that: only if we die can we know the exitance of God or any others…. I just hope if he does exist that he will have mercy on my transgressions.
