My great grandfather was a freemason and a shriner. He was a person I really respected in my life growing up. He accomplished a great many things and truly was an example with his wife to everyone in his family. He’s very old, but still very attached to his shriner friends with a mule farm they own together. Freemasons have always held a bit of mystery to me, but also a great deal of respect for my great grandfather and what he did with his life. I wouldn’t mind trying to meet up with one of their groups in Austin to see what good I can do for my own part of the country.
