be more politically active

i am sincerely moved by having just watched a documentary about the genocide in the Sudan. i am unable to go to sleep – all i can do is visit .org sites and sign petitions and pass along “Read this!” emails to friends concerning this dire situation.
I suddenly found myself out of my own petty little world of pseudo-”problems” and snapped into the stark reality of the crises that exist in our world.
I think i’ve found an immediate cause i’d like to put some energy into.
