Lose 10 pounds

daiquirikiss has written 20 entries about this goal

It's been a bit 2 years ago

I’m not so into losing weight anymore since I’ve achieved the goal I wanted. However, even though i wrote these entries a while ago (summer of 2006) i’m still receiving comments now and again on them, which i find kind of odd. The comments range from “girl, stop, that’s gross” to “how did you do it?”

To those who say it is disgusting for me to be that slim.. keep in mind my OWN body proportions. I am 5’3” and weigh around 115. If I were to weigh in at 110, I would STILL achieve a healthy BMI (19.5). However, if i was taller, maybe 5’5” and weigh at 110 I would be slightly underweight (18.3 BMI rather than the healthy minimum of 18.5). Please know at MY OWN HEIGHT at 110, i would NEVER look like a stick.

To those who are interested on how i achieved my goal, please read my entries. There’s lots of information in them. However, before you attempt to lose weight, i strongly reccommend you check your own BMI first and see if you are overweight according to your body proportions. The maximum BMI that is healthy is 24.9. But perhaps you would like to be around 19. This is fine and i will be happy to answer any questions you have.

However, if you are already around 18 bmi i will not help. To be a stick is not glamourous and for women can lead to many different health problems such as feeling easily fatigued, having poor physical stamina and low resistance to infection. Also this includes loss of menstruation and diseases like tuberculosis, respiratory disorders, pneumonia, circulatory diseases like heart disorders, cerebral haemorrhage, nephritis, typhoid fever, and cancer are quite common. Please, please PLEASE do not try to be underweight. You want a toned body that replaces some fatty weight with muscle weight. That is the sexiest body, not a body with no fat at all. Some fat is actually good for your body. You want to have an average of 20% of fat in your body to be HEALTHY. Healthy meaning living a long and enjoyable life.

that is all i can say for now

no more work outs 3 years ago

i think i won’t be working out again until i get to japan. I leave this tuesday for portland and i stay in a hotel for the night. I’m assuming they have a real gym so i can use the treadmill for a bit. Then i’ll leave for Japan on wed and maybe the hotel i’ll be staying has a gym as well. Hopefully!! I don’t know how i’ll be able to run in yokohama… especially right after jet lag. I’m also hoping that Japan’s light food will also help me keep my weight down and maybe even make it go to 110. I’m staying there until Dec 10th… Maybe i can do it!!!

I think what i need to remember that eating different foods and working out more isn’t a diet to make me lose weight. Itz a lifestyle that i need to keep on doing, which in turn will let me lose the few vain pounds i dislike… :-p

113.5 3 years ago

so last morning i weighed in at 113.5 which is odd because i haven’t been doing my exercising the past few days… but yay!! Maybe i’ll be the same tomorrow…
oh and can someone PLEASE get rid of the spammer… my god so annoying.

Plateau and me at 106 3 years ago

Well if i were 106 pounds, and right now i’m 114, apparently i’d look very fit and not like a gross stick. Whoa! so if i do that feat i would have gone from 119 to 106 and lost 13 pounds! Yay!! i can subtract!!! (fyi i’m 5’3”) The model in this picture is 5’3” and 106 lbs… so just so i have an idea.

I think 106 would be the absolute lowest i would go if i can actually do that. My size 5 jeans are still snug and it appears that the style i like (low cut with flare legs) would come in a 7 only for me now. No! i refuse to go a size up EVER in my life. If anything it’ll be down or always and forever 5 (not including pregnancy). Size 0 though i think should not exist. Wtf is up with size 0? They should just make a size -1 for spite. “I’m a size 0, my hips don’t exist!” “well oo o! i’m a size -1 and my hips are physically impossible!!” Please.. why can’t america just have pants sizes going by the inch like guys have? I’d need a 36 inch hip and 28 inch waist… can’t you just give that out in pants sizes instead of labeling it as an ambiguous 5?

Anyways i’ve upscaled my routine to 350 cal burned a day with DDR workout mode and 100 of those reverse crunch thingies. Eventually it’ll get to a point where i’ll have to do 200… oyyy… and then 700 cal!!! Can i do that everyday???

here’s some more pics of the same model…

I’ll admit, the pic of her in the bathing suit looks like she’s either seriously sucking it in or is suffering from 2 weeks of starvation… I don’t want ribs showing. They said her measurements are 32-24-32. Right now i’m 32-28-36… 4 inches larger… well if she can do it (assuming she didn’t starve herself) then so can i! But i think it’d be best to go for 108 and not 106 since i figure my measurements would be 32-25-33 and i won’t look as starved…

For everyone that is on a plateau i found this to be helpful:

The Weight Loss Plateau
Over time our bodies adapt to the lowered calorie level. Our body becomes more efficient at using energy (lowered metabolism), and therefore burns less fat.
This is why most of us reach a weight loss plateau. At this point, the only option is to boost metabolism; increased cardio, weight training, ‘cheat’ meals (i.e. ocassional high-calorie meals), cycling (or zig-zagging) calories, and even manipulating macro-nutrient ratios can all help to do this (don’t forget adequate sleep and hydration). You often find that the nearer you get to your goal weight (or body fat percentage) – the harder things get!

Continually dropping calories only serves to lower metabolism even further – the moment you return to ‘normal’ eating – the weight comes back on.

good website!!! 3 years ago

i found this website and it’ll calculate how many calories you personally burn in one day (meaning how much you need per day). It inclues exercising (with many different kinds of exercising), things you need every day and how much, your height and weight… itz pretty cool! However the lateic acid (if you’re confuse cuz i was) is Omega-6 which you can find in cereal, whole grain bread, most vegetable oils, poultry and baked goods. The alpha lateic acid is omega-3 and the best source for that is fish. Though you can buy those Omega-3 supplements. here’s the site:

BMI 3 years ago

well i experimented a bit and found out that if i were 106 pounds at my current height (5’3.5”) i would be borderline minimum for normal weight or 18.5 BMI. Right now i’m 20 BMI and the borderline maximum for normal mass is 24.9 (which means i would have to 143 pounds to make that).
So does that mean 106 should be my goal, or should i aim for 110? Certainly muscle mass would increase my weight… might get in the way of 106. If i were 106 would i look like a gross skeleton that could slip through a drain in the street?

lazy butt 3 years ago

yep, thatz me… i’ve been lazy recently.
I’ve been slacking off on my ab workouts… so in turn it started to melt back into that flab i’ve been trying to get rid of for almost a month now. But i haven’t stopped on my slimfast or my tea. I got more than back on track today and i swear i must have done like 150 total reps of ab work outs. I think i’ll do some more before i sleep…
If i ever get those awesome toned abs i’m going for i’ll be sure to share pictures and maybe tips on how to do it… I’m really wishing i had some free weights though.

plateau 3 years ago

hmm… so at 114 i still have that flab that needs to be muscle. I think 114 must be my plateau. Does anyone know how to overcome it? I really would like to have muscular and sexy looking abs. I’m still doing my ab workouts, but i haven’t been able to walk because of this heat wave, though today is a lot better. Any advice?

114! again! 3 years ago

today i am 114.
Somehow i think that this will be my weight unless somehow 113 is possible. But 113 is the lowest i would go. I’m still working out and doing the same thing as i always was.

meh 115.5 3 years ago

soooo i went from 114 to 115.5
but you know what. thatz a lot better than 119. And itz probably just water weight. Perhaps 114 is the lowest i can weigh without being unhealthy and boney. Though i still see the bit of fat i’d like to turn into muscle. Still working on it.
