see more live music shows

i’ve got a live-music companion, and he’s totally into all sorts of music . . . i probably see shows now maybe 2-3 times a month. loads of fun. last show i saw was slim cessna’s auto club. awesome live!

saw tortoise and laura gibson this week, plan on seeing gruff rhys and spoon in the coming months. i’m back on track!

going to see andrew bird next month! can’t wait. in a bigger venue than when i last saw him (we actually get seats), but i’m sure the music and energy will be just as great, if not, better.

i saw so many mandolin variations: mandola (mandolin + viola), mandocello (mandolin + cello), latmandola (swedish mandocello), and some very beautifully made mandolins at my friend’s mandolin concert this weekend in providence. and the jam session afterward was fun to watch! i need more music!

saw him last night at the middle east. he’s a fun musician with lots of talent. he’s not bad to watch, either! it was great fun listening to him live—he’s got other great idea than what’s recorded on his cds.
