It seems the men I meet here in the wilderness are very set in their ways and just want a relationship when it is convenient for them…friends with benefits.
Who can resist such a non-commital offer as that? LOL

on e-harmony are doctors. Still haven’t paid for a subscription to talk with anyone.
I have never dated a doctor. My late husband was an attorney. So I am very comfortable in professional social circles.
It is kind of interesting to see who the computer matches to us. :)
yesterday but haven’t subscribed. Their personality profile of me was very interesting. Pretty accurate…wonder how they do that?
So far they have sent me 10 profiles of guys that may be a match…a couple look like they may be fun to meet.
I’ve always met my significant others the old fashioned way.
Wonder if this works?
to having a relationship. My friend in Texas just ended a 7 year relationship this past weekend and put an ad on Craig’s list for a new guy. I know that’s scary with everything that happened back East but she is braver than me in that respect.
Turns out she got 11 responses the 1st day. One from a guy she had dated prior to this relationship. So she called the guy she knew. He came over the next day and changed her locks and took her to dinner. She actually had a date before her ex was totally moved out of the apartment.
She said we aren’t getting any younger so why waste time being miserable?
There is something to be said for her attitude! :)
stopped by unexpectedly to mow my lawn for me. It seems he heard through the grapevine (we live in a small town) that my lawn needed mowed.
He didn’t call ahead of time and I had already hired a friend’s 12 year old son to do the job…he had finished the front yard (before my ex showed up)and will do the back yard in the morning. He is soo excited to have money for doing a good job. His mom and I agreed on the price.
So my thought is why would my ex show up to “save my lawn” without calling ahead of time?
What is a healthy intimate relationship?
How do I have one???
whenever I call him…note to self..he doesn’t call me.
But he still cares enough to return my call…what does that mean in a perfect world or the imperfect one that we live in?
stopped by unexpectedly with flowers from his yard. He knows I love yellow roses so he brought some for me to enjoy. He also wanted to check on my wrist.
My friend said she thought he wants to get back together. He didn’t say anything about that. He was just very upbeat about my business and hoped things were going well for me.
It was good to see him.
a woman over 40 is more likely to get hit by lightening then to get married again. I don’t think this is true. I know alot of women who have found new loves in later years.
Do I want to get married again? Sometimes. Being single isn’t that interesting when you are a social butterfly like me in a world of couples.
The hardest part is finding someone who is compatible because friendship is the basis of a relationship at this age.
They also say love comes along when we aren’t looking for it…maybe that’s the key.
Six months tops if there is a glimmer of a future together. Next time I meet someone I will be honest with myself and them from the beginning. We can’t change others and my live and let live philosophy is good for friendships and love…if you have things in common to offset the differences day to day.
It’s not hard to let go of someone who really likes you
only on their terms…relationships are not a one-way street.
