learn to play golf

is going to be my main business in 2010 I guess I should learn to play.

I have alot to learn. Luckily I have discovered virtual golf !

was spending the evening with my best friend’s grandchildren playing golf…well not playing golf but hitting shots at the driving range and putting green.

Now these children were 6 & 2 and quite the naturals! Tiger Woods beware! There is a whole generation of baby natural golfers in the world! It was so much fun! We had 2 baskets of golf balls to hit at the driving range and frankly they did very well.

The evening reminded me how much I miss my own grandchildren …no tears…these children made me feel very special and loved. :)

of golf clubs so I can learn to play golf this spring. I have been an avid putt-putt player over the years but have never really taken up golf as a sport.

The wilderness where I live is a golfing mecca in the spring and summer. The long,long days give everyone a chance to go out and relieve stress by whacking those little balls as far as they can.

I think I am going to like this! :)

procrastinates like me. In a year she has not had the famed garage sale so she still has her golf clubs! Yea!

Once the snow quits flying (as I look out the window and watch the flurry of flakes) I will go to the driving range with friends and take a whack at this. :)

yesterday She told me she has a nice set of golf clubs in her shed that she was going to sell in a garage sale. I asked her not to and let me buy them from her.

That was a fun surprise!

and it stays light until 9 at night. The golf course has people playing from dawn to dusk… what a wonderful sight!

I can hardly wait to sign up for lessons.

yesterday. It was covered in snow. Golf is not a year round sport here like it is in Texas but the months you can play will be so comfortable weatherwise.

It looked like a great place with a fine dining restuarant where people flock all year.

The best of all is it costs residents of Whitefish a mere $350 a year membership which covers your green fees.

that I have always wanted to try. I am pretty good at putt putt but haven’t explored the thrill of playing 18 holes on a beautiful day.

Before my husband died we lived 2 blocks from a country club and I’d walk the course everyday for exercise. It was beautiful and very relaxing.

Since I am starting a new life may as well try new things along with it.
