Learn to play the Acoustic Guitar

or a Washburn…but it is mine!
I am having so much fun learning how to play this after years of having this goal on my life list. :)

Browsing through the On Demand Service of my local cable provider I found a lifestyles section that actually has a video guitar lesson series.

I was surprised and delighted! Now that I am supposed to be resting I don’t feel guilty sitting in my pj’s learning to play my new guitar. :)

I walked into Ross tonight to do some Christmas shopping and right at the front of the store sat a 38” travel/student acoustic guitar for $40.

After having this goal on my life list for over 4 years I just couldn’t resist buying it!

It is small but something I can handle just to see if I can actually learn how to play before I invest in a higher quality instrument.

I went to Borders and got a Steve MacKay Guitar Instruction Guide and dvd for beginners called “Simply Guitar”.

I am so excited!

but maybe I will give myself one for my birthday. I am determined to accomplish this goal and have some fun with friends playing as they sing along.

Maybe I should actually buy an acoustic guitar as my anniversary present to myself. ;)

at the antique store yesterday. The highlight was a wonderful woman who plays a classical acoustic guitar as the entertainment.

We hit it off wonderfully! She is originally from Chicago. Met the love of her life on the internet 5 years ago. They married and she moved to Montana to be with him. A really romantic story.

Listening to her play all afternoon truly restored my enthusiasm for this goal. :)

I found a quality sounding acoustic guitar yesterday for $35 but they wouldn’t take my debit card! It is at a little arts & crafts mall next to a produce stand by the airport. I continued shopping and got my dad a birthday gift instead.

Hope the guitar is still there when I get paid this week!

with no results! What’s up with that?

I am going to find a guitar and start playing for my adventures in July. :)

by Christmas. That would be a lovely gift.

due to no extra money to buy a guitar.
