to read all one hundred books on ala's frequently challenged book list

This book was banned in Liviona schools which is located in Michigan for scaring 1st Graders. First reaction, “It’s in the title people!” Other than I can see where some of the stories would scare first graders. But honestly I think if a teacher used discretion that they could use many of he stories in the book for class. There are some very fun ones that I recommended to my roommate who teaches 3rd grade. I even remember having to memorize “The Hearse Song” in 2nd grade myself. Final judgement = parental overreaction.

Next up is The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier

I want to read these books to see what all the hullabaloo is about. I consider myself fairly middle of the road so I shall endeavor to give a fair assessment of each books relative controversial issues.
