I don’t have a lot of vacation time between now and Christmas. I haven’t been to see Gram since she’s been up and around after her surgery. My opportunity would be Thanksgiving, but now have an opportunity to go to Dubai. I feel guilty wanting to go on a vacation instead of seeing my grandmother.

It’s hard being married. You can’t just ‘do’ things. I see his point: I’m in school, not making a lot of money. I just went to see my grandma because she was having surgery and had unexpected complications. I wanted to go for Labor Day weekend…not gonna happen.
