I have been obsessed with perennials and everything that I planted last year seems to be doing well. There are a few that I have to replace but that is OK!

I don’t think I will ever do a whole section from seeds again. I am getting a little frustrating that the spread is not very consistent. So I went and bought some supplemental flowers to fill in the holes. My othe section from seeds is just confusing to me. There are a lot of weeds growing in there and I have to figure out what is a weed and what is not. AHHH!
All of a sudden, everything is growing really well. I can’t wait to see how it does the rest of the summer.
I have a hard time driving by flower farms or greenhouses and not stopping. I think I finally have everything in. I want to buy a clematis or a mandivilla (sp?) but other than that, I think everything else is doing well.
I finished planting all of my flowers. I had to buy one more container to use them all. They were the nice dahlias that I bought from the greenhouse so I figured they were worth keeping and putting in a pot. Can’t wait to see how everything turns out!
The sun was finally out today, that will certainly help me attain this goal!
So my seeds were doing so well but something attacked them and plucked out some of my seedlings. Hard to say if it was a bird or maybe even the people who mow my lawn placing some sort of tool right on top of my seeds. The latter is actually what it appears to be but I am too frustrated to even consider that a reality. BOOO! I think I can fix it though. I just have to wait for the other plants to get bigger and I can rearrange.
I bought lobelia, vinca, verbena, sweet potato vine and asparugus fern. It is going to take a while to gather all the right things and put it all together!
So far, I planted some seeds in one area. I did zinnias, cosmos and poppies. I have such a large space to cover that I thought I would try my luck at seeds and see how that goes. Maybe it will save me money. Or maybe it will be a source of annoyance! We will see. So far, things look like they are coming along well. I look at them everyday and there are little green guys there to say hi to! Very exciting. I am getting ramped up to start buying my annuals. I am too new to the house and gardens to commit to perennials I think. Maybe in a couple of years.
