26000 children die each day. Do you still believe in a good God?
The usual replies I get to this one:
- it’s actually our fault that the children die, not God’s, because: we have freedom of choice / rich nations don’t help the poor children / etc.
- we can never understand God / there is a reason for everything
Nobody, and I mean none of the religious people I’ve confronted with this sick truth even bother to say “Wow I had no idea about that” or “That’s really horrendous”. Nope. They all defended God in one way or another.
This just shows how brainwashed religious people are, and how beyond any hope of recovery. I’m thinking of giving up this goal.

A fool says in his heart: ‘There is no God.’ A wise man says it to everyone.

LONDON (AP) An asteroid the size of a football field hurtled past the Earth a week ago, missing what could have been a catastrophic collision by a mere 75,000 miles—less than a third of the distance to the moon.
Thank you, lord, for protecting us from that big rock that you sent.[1]

“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.”

Here’s a link to the origin of the question.
By the way, it’s getting momentum on Google. 9510 hits as of 2007-Jan-07. Two years ago there were less than 10 hits.
