Folks who want to get married/meet your soulmate/fall in love/etc.,
Do realize that 43things is a great place to meet a compatible person, who did and wants to do the same things that you want to do. Soon, 43things may let you find the people who have the most goals in common with yourself.
And what’s the first thing you check about that person? (Okay, after the pictures :-) Their location!
Have you entered your location yet? If not, go to your account and add it right now. Then, go to the “find the people [...]” link above and click “43T should do this” so it will stand out more at http://ideas.43things.com.
Good luck with your search!

I’m an atheist, and as all atheists know, a “soulmate” pretty much has to share this trait. Now the mathematics of soulmates will instantly cross out about 90% of the US population of your favorite gender.
Then, if you live in areas with high concentrations of the gender you’re not interested in, you cut your chances even more (ever heard of “Man Jose, CA”?).
The message below is from a 50yo atheist:

I am in my early 50’s and I have already lost all hope of finding “the ideal woman” – why should I expect to find anything essentially different from what have found during the first 50 years of my life? An “imperfect” woman who feels happy to be with me and makes me happy when I am with her would be more than enough for me.
It does help if you’re in your mid-20s and not in the 50s, but then it does not. You just have more time to suffer from the indecision of The Question: To settle or Not to settle.
