I tried learning Hebrew… I have two books (one for biblical hebrew and one for modern hebrew), I also bought the Torah (in Hebrew, of course), and I learned the alphabet and some words. After that I had a long pause, during which I forgot most of the script writing and most words. After that I tried the Pimsleur method and was very efficient, but I stopped after about 3 days. Of course, I forgot all that I learned during those three days.
But I still want to do it, and I will know Hebrew some day. The interesting fact is what got me started on Hebrew was a book of Assirian cuneiforms that had all translations given in Hebrew… so to learn cuneiforms, I needed to learn Hebrew first.
