I feel the winds of obsession rising

Just like my former obsession with Sichuanese birdcages, I am beginning to develop a (probably less than) healthy interest in antique Japanese pens. Taiwan was a Japanese holding until the second World War, so there are lots of these beautiful, rare pens floating around the antique markets in Taipei. My goal – learn a hell of a lot about them, buy them on the cheap, and sell them on eBay (like evil mastermind Dr. Steve). So far, I’ve bought a 1937 Pilot celluloid, a pre-1928 Pilot lacquer pen, and will buy a pre-1918 “under/over” Swan later this week…
