I need to look into this. I’ve done it on the East Coast once. It’s time to do it on the West.
I saw the International Art Fair at the Armory this Saturday. Totally wanted to make me model again. I’ve put my name on Tunicks list a few times but I haven’t heard anything since Grand Central. I guess I must search elsewhere…
And what ever happened to the 2nd HBO special???
I printed a list of Art Schools in NY – if I get any time tomorrow I will give a few of them a call and see if they are looking for models.
I did the second one today – It was called “Radiowarp:WAM”. I played a Time Travel Agent. My role was to stand just inside the turnstyle at the Union Square subway station costumed as a secret agent (black suit, dark glasses) and let participants listen on my walkman to a recorded speech and then point them in the direction to the next Time Travel Agent.
I know this item is “model for artists” not “do performance art” so I will go back to looking for modeling opportunities.
It was an experimental art piece done at The Glass House in Williamsburg. It was weird but fun.
I haven’t called any schools yet cause it’s tough to do it during work. But I have looked around on craigslist. Not sure if I would trust a craigslist ad for that though. However on craigslist I did find two performance art pieces that I am going to participate in this weekend which would be on my list if we were allowed 44 things.
I was in the Spencer Tunick Grand Central shot. And it was exhibited in a gallery in Chelsea. And I loved it!!! So I want to model for some art schools and artists some more. So step one: call up art and photography schools and see if they have any slots for models on the weekends or evenings.
