dance and drum regularly in a drum circle

well went online to look for sf drum circles. there are a few – hippie hill, berkeley, and possibly at the aquatic park near gsquare. but what i really crave is one on the beach. ocean beach preferably since i am so close to it. but baker would be fine as well. i need a dc release…

Cuz it is finally warm here in NYC but….....I sprained my toe. So I will see how my toe is healing.

This coming spring is my last chance to drum circle in NYC. I gotta gotta gotta do it.

Then it is off to CA to the circle in Venice Beach!!!

OK that is far away from San Fran but still…

Well I missed all the drum circles of summer. But I think Fall would be a great drum circle time. Hopefully I can make myself go at least once this month.

Well I haven’t even been to any of the Central Park drum circles this summer yet but my friend who just moved to the (Way) Upper West Side said there is a drum circle in the park near her so we are going to check it out next month.

Hopefully I will get my ass to CP one of these weekends and check out the scene there. But my friend who drums there regularly is out of town right now so I will have to go without him.

Oh also – someone FINALLY took the reigns and became the organizer of the New York Drum Circle Meet-up. I will have to log on and check it out.

But I am listening to some Native American drumming right now mixed in with chant and nature sounds and I am getting psyched. Not really the same sort of drumming you’d hear in a drum circle but still cool anyway.

(The CD is called Medicine River – Man and Nature. I got it on Amazon. It is awesome!)

It’s getting warmer… :)

Met a guy tonight who said that at his drum circle in Central Park there are about 30 drummers and plenty of dancers. It is held late afternoons on the weekend during the warm months so come the thaw – I am there!!!

On Sunday me and some friends went to check out the drum cicle in Central Park. There were two of them actually. Not what I was looking for. Need to try and start my own.

This Sunday me and a few friends are going to the drum circle near the the Sheep Meadow in Central Park. Hopefully we aren’t the only dancers. If we are then maybe I need to go ahead and make my own group or just look elsewhere in the city. Also I joined meetup.com’s drum circle group.
