If riding lessons hadn’t been so unbelievably expensive, I would have learnt how to ride a horse ages ago. I don’t think it would take me very long to pick up the different riding styles, because I’m a quick learner when it comes to “figuring out how to steer a new vehicle”. Nonetheless, I hope I can finally start taking riding lessons as soon as I’ll feel at home in London (id est having a flat, a job and enough money to survive).
Besides learning how to do proper horseback riding (English and Western style), I want to learn all the basics you need to know about horses, e. g. grooming, how to saddle up and unsaddle, special needs, medical care etc. In addition, I’d like take classes on how to read horse body language. This way, I’ll be able to understand my horse better, can communicate with him and broaden my horizon.
