Bilingualism is a gift

I love the English language. It’s softer than German and I like the sound of the language better. I intend to move to England anyway, but no matter where I’ll live, I’ll teach my children definitely both languages. I think it’s a great opportunity for them to learn it right from the start, because they’ll acquire both languages naturally and don’t need to struggle later at school – or as adults who are interested in their roots and wished they had learnt it while they had been little. I myself would have prefered to get raised bilingual, but my parents speak no foreign languages at all, which is a pity. They (the children), too, will have it easier at school to learn another language, because they’re e. g. already familiar with other grammar structures.
I think it’s a gift to be able to speak in two languages and I want to pass it on to my (future) children.
