Yes, I read another one ^^

Finished reading “Achtung Baby!” by Michael Mittermeier – a very famous German comedian and definitely my favourite one!

I think I should make it a rule to buy a new book as soon as I finished reading the last one (or if the last one turns out to be boring beyond believe!). I just have to watch out not buying too much books before I move to London next month – otherwise my transport costs will rise… (but I still got some books which I haven’t finished reading – how am I supposed to, they are all stored in boxes xD).

Follow the money

I just finished reading the latest book by David McWilliams. It’s called “Follow the money” and explains the current economic situation in Ireland, how it got into this mess in the first place and outlines several possibilities for the country to get back on track. It’s a very good book, I can only recommend it!

Now, I can pick up where I left in “The picture of Dorian Gray” and afterwards I’d like to read “The man without a face” by Isabelle Holland.

Lately, I’m not only reading more books in an overall shorter time span, but I’m also rapidly improving my English as well – happy days ^^

Working on it!

Just finished reading “Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv sein Tod” Part 4. Before, I read “Speak German! Warum Deutsch manchmal besser ist” in like four hours. The first book is about German grammar and the second about whether one should or should not use all those anglicisms while speaking German (gosh I loved that book, gotta read it again!).

Today, I was at the book store and bought “The picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde – which, as the title suggests, is in English. I wanted to read the great classics at some point anyway ^^ I will keep you posted ;)

I love books!!

I need to read more books. It’s not that I don’t read, quite on the contrary, I read a lot, but mostly e-newspapers or articles on Wikipedia about economics to prepare myself for my final exam. It just looks like I’m too preoccupied with those things (and everyday stuff) to simply take some time to sit down and read a good book.

Although, I managed to buy myself a new book and read it, partially at the studio and partially on the train, while I was filming in Cologne on Thursday. Well, I think that’s, at least, some progress. The title was Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv sein Tod. Part 3. Hence, I worked on two goals at the same time: Read more books and Learn to express myself better (because the book is about standard German – but written in a comical and very funny way).

I’ll try to work on it, but maybe I’ll just have to wait until after the exam to be able to fully enjoy a book again.
