learn to love life again

Life makes me afraid. Probably because I just don’t want to participate in it if I’m going to make a mistake. One mistake frightens me.

Maybe I just need to know that its okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to not be perfect.

It is okay for me to try my best. And if my best isn’t good enough- there’s always another chance to do it all over again. “Change brings renewal to life.”

So I reconnected with this one friend of mine, and we haven’t talked in years- so she was surprised to hear from me. We reconnected, talked a lot, caught up. Apparently she’s going to Europe for a mission. I suggested sushi.

Let me tell this plainly: sushi makes everyday a great day. We had green tea ice cream with fudge and it was so good! The waitress even let us sample red bean ice cream! It was delicious! Not only that- but we also got a teaser at the end: free fried banana tempura with chocolate fudge!

Haha. I love sushi.

So this day was great. I cleaned stuff out of my apartment, moved it back home, and then I watched some TV. There is this new HD-TV service called ionlife- and man was that cool. I watched this segment on medical students in residency programs, and then saw a yoga program.

So I sat down and did some yoga! Then I helped with stuff around the house for my mom, and at 6:30’sh a friend called me and asked me to come to a youth fellowship at her friend’s house at 8:30.

When I came, I asked, “Is this last person’s name Faulk?” And I fell over laughing when I found out- I knew the person hosting the party!

The idea of the party was to map out core values, and to collage them onto posterboard. I did my collage on forgiveness. Others shared theirs, too.

We had great food, a great time, and I have to say… yesterday made me love life all over again. It was something I feel truly blessed to have been a part of.

This is going to take a lot of work. Haha. It isn’t like life fits itself together. We need to do some work, too!
