I'm ambivalent about the US

Have been to the states several times and enjoyed it thoroughly. Don’t have any huge drive to go back, but one place always seems to come up in my life.

Every time I read about someone creative/amazing/interesting, it strikes me how often they come from or are based in Portland.

What is it about the place?

Would love to spend a few months there soaking up the vibe and checking it out… Has to be done.
