clean my apartment

Hey, want to have a super clean apartment? I did this by moving! We just moved a few weeks ago and thus had to organize, pack, and trash a lot of stuff. Now we are in our new place and I could maybe add the task of - unpack the apartment!

I made a list of things that have to be done to get the apartment back to non-crazy status. I’m posting the list on the fridge and my husband and I will take turns doing stuff on it by Sunday night or else we will come up with some sort of penalty for ourselves. After that, I’ll come up with another list for a week and then we’ll do the same thing. I feel good about this!!!

Another of my mini goals:

Clean the kitchen—-it’s a little nasty.

I’m calling it done and making my husband do the rest!!!!

Finally accomplished!!!!

It’s officially gross. :(

I haven’t even gotten to the big stuff that I want to do with the apartment organizationally and it is messy again! It’s not gross yet but it is nearing that place. I really need to work and keeping up with this better!

Our apartment is finally in good enough condition to be able to invite people over! We had friends over last night – they hadn’t been over here since they helped us to move in a year ago!!! It was so awesome to be able to entertain. There is still a lot of work to be done in the other rooms. I have been looking at organizational “stuff” at Ikea.com and the containerstore.com

My inlaws came over this past weekend and the apartment was still a mess. Now over half of it is clean and organized. Sadly, we put all of the stuff that we didn’t know what to do with in the other half. Much more organization is still required!

Well, I had hoped to get more accomplished this weekend but there’s always something; including my awesome ability to procrastinate….Anyway, I did succeed in tidying a bit to be able to do the real cleaning and sorting that is necessary to get the job done. My goal is to really organize the apartment in such a way that it will be easier to maintain. I think that I need to buy storage and organizer type items to help everything to have a propper place!

Well, yesterday I made a list of the things that I wanted to tidy in my apartment. I haven’t done anything yet but it’s pretty nice to at least have something down on paper! Better luck this weekend!
