scrapbook more

Well, I haven’t had the opportunity to scrap in a while but now a project that I am doing for my friend as a birthday present to her daughter has spurred me into action. She turned 1 in May and I decided that I would create a scrapbook to document her first year. I gathered photos back in March and thought that I would be done in time for her birthday, but alas had not gotten past the planning stages.

Now, I am hoping to have the scrapbook completed when she hits the 1 1/2 year mark which would be in September. I’m not sure that I will have it done by then but I have bought most of the materials and have started putting pages together which is real progress.

My only complaint is that I have not worked on any more scrapping for myself….

I know that it’s weird that I would bring scrap stuff on vacation but I am. Luckily I also just found the disk where all of my honeymoon pics are located and can now get them developed and scrap those! I’d really be happy to make at least a little bit of progress on this goal.

I am a fool for paper and I was able to get a whole lot on sale. I am itching to get some more pages done. I really have to work to set some time aside to get my projects done that I have started!

My friend had a welcoming party (instead of a christening) for her daughter and she asked everyone in attendance to make a scrapbook page for her which would later have a picture of her and us added to the page. I had the best time making the page and when I looked later I think that mine was the best! I really need to budget time specifically to work on this because I love doing it and it’s a great way to remember great memories.

I just made my very first card using my scrapbook materials! I am super psyched! Also, I now have another person that I can scrap with and I am working towards converting another person into a scrapper.

I do, however, need to work on my scrapping space to make it more condusive to scrapping at home.

On Friday I was off from work and went up to my parents’ house. I scrapped 2 pages with my mom over a couple of hours. I have to work on getting my stuff better organized to be able to work more effeciently. I feel good actually getting something done!
