spend more time with my brother

I’ve been doing a bit better with this goal as time has passed. I guess that I will just have to continue to work on this one. My brother is awesome!

My one and only statement on this subject is that I suck and that I should be demoted from sisterdom.

I got to talk to my brother today and I think that I will be able to finally hang with him next weekend. So even though this mini goal was supposed to be set up by yesterday, I think that a day late is okay. We’re either going to go see a movie, bowling, or to the arcade. I’m psyched!

Make a specific plan to hang out with Philip this month.

My brother is a great guy who is funny, loving, and imaginative. He is also 29 years old and developmentally delayed. He functions like a 7 year old and has been living in a group home for 8 years. Before that he lived at his school from the age of 13. When I lived at home I always made the time to see him and hang out with him. Since I have started teaching (starting my 7th year tomorrow!!!) I haven’t had as much time and I have been living farther away so it has been difficult to be able to spend as much time with Philip.

I am going to make a real effort to spend a lot more time with him and give him the attention that we both miss so much!
