I guess I’ll mark this as done. I finished 8 out of 12 books. I guess I’ll add those last 4 to my 2008 list.

Well, I can mark another one off my list.
I did enjoy this book. Although, not quite as much as the first one. Maybe because it had less of the main character in it.
I do have to sya at the end of it, my first thought was “Dammit, now I have to read anohter one?” I didn’t know there was going to be a third book. Oh well…2008?
This is what I have left:
1. A Feast of Crows by George R.R. Martin – I started this and then put it down hal way through it. I don’t think I was in the mood. Maybe I’ll try again since I can basically skim the first half.
2. Watership Down by Richard Adams
3. The Unbreable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
4. Life of Pi by Yann Martel
5. City of Night Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein, Book 2
I’m just not excited about them right now. And I know there are some classics on here I would probably like. Still…only 5 left and 2 months to go.
I read this a couple months ago. This was my first book by this author and I absolutely loved it. I have tried to check out more books by her from the library but either they don’t carry her stuff (unlikely) or she is so popular the books are always checked out. Anyhow…very good read!
I actually read this a few weeks ago and haven’t posted it yet. It was a very easy read. And quite a good story. Honestly, I can’t believe he was only 15 when he wrote it. What was I doing at 15? Nothing! Except being boy crazy. There’s no way I would have had the focus to write something…except maybe a love story, lol.
Anyhow, I can see LOTR influences in this book. That is quite obvious. Still…he created a new story. And it was good.
We later saw the movie. Which, too, was good. The book was better. I think you understood more of the characters. But, that is alwasy true isn’t it? Still, the casting was quite good and I will see the next one. And read it too!
I have no idea whay it took me so long to read this book. I have owned it for well over 5 years. I think the size may have been a bit daunting. Especially when I first started it and it seemed to heavy. (Figuratively) It’s content is by no means light hearted. It took a lot of emotions out of me to finish the book. But, it was a very good read. I am so glad I read all 800+ pages. It took me a little over a week and a box of kleenexes.
2. Eragon by Christopher Paolini
3. A Feast of Crows by George R.R. Martin
4. Watership Down by Richard Adams
6. The Unbreable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
7. Life of Pi by Yann Martel
8. a can of peas by Traci DePree
9. Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult
11. Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
12. City of Night Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein, Book 2
I finished this book a couple weeks ago. I still need to write a review on my blog as well. I really don’t have a whole lot to say about this book. It was a relatively easy read. And for the most part I enjoyed the book. But, I guess I was just expecting more. I had heard so many good things about the book. And quite frankly, I found most of the story unbelievable.
It takes place in the South in the early 60’s when race riots were going on and MLK was everwhere. And this little white girl runs away with her black nanny and shows up on the doorstep of these 3 black sisters that take her in. She continues to stay there and starts to hang out with this black boy, Zach. I just found it a bit far fetched that during all this stuff going on in town that this white girl could be riding around town in this pick up truck with a black boy and no one even noticed.
So, as I was saying…the book was OK. The story was very fiction.
I finished book #2…Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. This is my first book by him and I liked it a lot. I will definitely read more by this author.
Now I think I will go to the library today and read a book not on the list :)

OK – after reading the rules and signing up for the yahoo group I revised these a bit. I went back to my bookshelf and amazon wish list and put down the books that have been on my list for over 6 months. Some of these have been on my shelf for years! Maybe this will motivate me to get them read!
