Physical Goals:
1. Increase my flexibility
Will I ever be done? Increasing…but certainly not where I want to be
2. Do a backbend
I was so excited when I did this in a yoga class. I had no idea I could. It was inspiring to know that my body is changing
3. Get my body fat under 20%
Last time I checked it was 18. Shooting for 15
4. Have arms like Madonna
We’re getting there…if only my damn tendonitis would quit acting up
5. Get my certification in Body Attack
October 11-12 is the workshop. Good God, i am going to die!
6. Get my cerfification in Body Pump
Now teaching this class 2-3 times a week. Should hear back from my video assessment this week
7. Run a race
I don’t know when I will do this. Just need to register and get it done so I can mark it off
22. Do the things to the house that need to be done to be able to sell it…roof, windows, siding: We’ve gotten a couple estimates. There are some seriously over-priced companies out there. DH has a cousin that does this, so we are looking into him doing some of this work this summer. I hope he is able to fit us into his schedule.
23. Plant flowers around the deck: I planted flowers last spring/summer. But, I don’t think they made it. I’ll have to start again.
24. Make the deck beautiful: I’d like to do a little decorating out there. The deck needs to be redone as well. So, yeah, another money project.
25. Organize my home by getting rid of the things we do not need or want and storing the things we want to save but do not use.: I started…participated in a consignment sale this weekend.
26. Book shelves in the house so we can organize all the books my English major husband will not part with: My dad made some beautiful book shelves when I was a kid. I used to pretend they were Barbie’s townhouse before they were finished. They are supposed to be mine now. I need to figure out where they will fit in this house since my Mom is moving her stuff up next month.
27. Finish painting the house…find colors for bedroom and living room.: Painting, eck. I need to finish all the molding, then go on from there.
28. Have a productive vegetable garden: I almost did this last year…the drought screwed it up though.
29. Make my bedroom an oasis: Huge challenge for me. My bedroom tends to be my dumping ground. It’s the last place to get cleaned and will be the last to get decorated. And I am creatively challenged.
8. Go to a yoga workshop: I have no idea when I will get this done. I have been keeping an eye out, but there really hasn’t been anything that has appealed to me that’s within a decent distance. I’ll keep looking…
9. Have a wild weekend with some girlfriends: I just need a crazy night out with a day of recovery…that constitutes a weekend right?
10. See Ani Difranco perform again: I would love to take my husband to see her. Nothing near here for 2008 though.
11. Find my personal style: I’m looking…who am I? A touch of J.Jill? Banana Republic? Thrift stores? Heels or clogs? I am so fashion challenged….
12. Get a consult for a tummy tuck…I’m curious. I just wanna know…
13. Expand my business: As the children get older and I have more time I would like to grow my business to be more full time and of course, make more money.
14. Take dance lessons: Ballroom dancing lessons would be fun to do with my husband. I hope he is into it…
15. Learn how to play at least one song on the guitar: I think I have chosen the song. The Captain by Kasey Chambers
16. Have the business cc at at zero balance: Plugging along…
17. Have a financial retirement plan (other than 401K): I think I need to move this to “Things that just have to get done”.
18. Be blonde again: I have become a brunette. Sure it’s fake, but it will take some time to become blonde again. Highlights in April.
19. Have a party like I’m 28, not 38: I think I might throw aparty at the house in April…
20. Get professional photos done of the entire family: Need to find a photographer.
21. Have a romantic weekend with my husband: Where? When? Romance? What’s that?
1. Increase my flexibility: I have been taking a Body Flow class once a week. I really need to start a home yoga practice, even it’s just 30 minutes of hip openers a day. I really want my body to be more flexible.
2. Do a backbend: Hmmm…a home yoga practice will help this. I can’t even push myself up a little bit. I think it’s my tight shoulders and tight hips. I don’t think it’s a strength issue.
3. Get my body fat under 20%: I need to have this checked again. It was 24% the last time I had it checked.
4. Have arms like Madonna: My arms and back are my focus. I started working out with a personal trainer now that I get a discount.
5. Get my certification in Body Step: BS is my passion. I love the program. But, I want my coaching and cueing skills to be top notch before I jump into this program. That’s the role of Body Vive…getting me comfortable teaching.
6. Get my cerfification in Body Pump: If I taught this twice a week my weights would be done. How sweet would that be?
7. Run a race: Need to find a race. Probably just a 5K. I am just not a runner. But I love the energy of a race.
