Get married....and STAY married

I know that now. You don’t know what you’re getting into until you’re already there. In laws will always take their son or daughter’s ‘side’ and divides just happen in families. I no longer look at divorce as giving up, but as an option to make one happier.

I did it! I won’t mark this as done though for a few anniversaries.

We have our wedding bands now and my $500 dress (yes, 5 freaking hundred dollars!!!) comes in on Wed.
I’m getting married in 96 days!

I got engaged on Dec 17th 2008 and we’ve set the date for Oct 17th 2009. He’s the one. He’s such a mature, caring, responsible, and HILARIOUS man. I’m looking forward to spending THE REST OF MY LIFE with him!

This has always been my main goal in life. I want to marry a man that loves and understands me.
Growing up I witnessed my parents hate for each other and mistreatment towards one another. My mom has been married for almost 10 years now to my step-dad (her 3rd husband) and I want so much more for my life and my family than that.
Can’t people get it right the first time anymore. Why would you marry someone with the intention of getting divorced or knowing that if you two hit the slightest bump in the road you will.
No. Not me. When I marry it will be for a lifetime; unless it’s a damaging situation for my family, which is unlikely b/c I intend to know my future husband inside and out before I marry him.
