Hit the pool you say? 4 years ago

This is week two (the beginning of) of my goal to get outside more. So far I think I’m right on target. I’m throwing out some of my inhibitions about going outside alone (I know, its nuts) and even have hit the apartment complex pool twice on my own! That’s huge for me. I’ve enjoyed walks, lunches with friends, shopping (for much needed shorts and t-shirts for Florida), and even went and did a little miniature golf. The biggest though would be the walks and hitting the pool… both solo and both accomplished. I managed to get out of the house about four or five times last week, and this week is already off to a great start.

Let’s hope I can keep it up and mark this “to do” as DONE! :D



A little unmeasurable but, a goal all the same 4 years ago

Goals should be measurable so that you can actually know when you’ve accomplished them. My goal of “getting out more” seems a little nebulous, but I’m going to work with it. I’ll lay down some guidelines to give this a little more structure.

Getting out more should entail:
1. Leaving the apartment at least 3 times a week (an not just to the grocery store)
2. Doing something for me not simply running an errand
3. It can involve something passive like visiting the pool, or taking a walk (could tie into exercising three times a week)
4. At least one of the outings should be somewhat social (lunch, drinks, snacks with someone)

To consider this accomplished I should be able to do this for three straight weeks.

That should do it. Now… an image of the space where I work, type, paint, read, research, and do all my mojo.
