My sister came for dinner the other day and is following a new diet, nothing too complicated. She eats only unrefined carbohydrates, no sugar or saturated fat and generally nothing processed or pre-prepared. Basically lots of fruit and vegetables and brown rice/pasta/whatever. So i bought organic brown rice and fish and roasted some veg and made an enormous salad. Also I suspect I am gluten intolerant so I’ll cut out wheat. Also started a chart to record body measurements on a weekly/bi-weekly basis as too scared to weigh myself at this stage!

Yesterday went swimming with some friends who also go to the gym locally, so may start going with them. Have been making more of an effort to have veg handy at work to snack on and have less meat and fried things. But trying not to obsess about what I eat too much and concentrate on the exercise.
I’ve been studying this year while also working full time and exercise has become a low priority – literally been squeezed out of my day. The extra weight I’ve gained through non exercising and comfort eating for all those hours chained to the text books has meant some of my clothes don’t fit me anymore and is just generally depressing and annoying.
Current weight 9 stone, been 7.5 for years and years….
