I failed so miserably at this goal. Because his birthday was in the middle of the Christmas season, no-one seemed to take a booking. So all we are doing is going out for a curry with friends, which will be nice. But I wanted to surprise him. I am leaving this goal on here for now. Because I may find another occasion for a surprise party :-)

I am supposed to be organising the party for 28 December, but I cannot seem to find the right space! I went to look at somewhere today, but they can only fit 100 people. How annoying! I should have it booked by now. This is something I must focus on next week
It is my partners 50th this year, and I would like to organise a surprise party for him. Several people have offered to help. This is what I need to do:
Find and book suitable venue
Make everyone aware of date for diary/ send invites
Organise catering
Arrange drinks/ bar
Book band/ DJ/ Get playlist of his favourite songs
Set up fund for joint present from everyone?
Decide what present should be
Gather photographs of him for use in the background
Arrange who will decorate the hall
Arrange cleaning up after the party
Get someone to do the photos for the party
Search party websites for additional ideas
