I think my hair is at what you would call ‘medium length’..

I’ve coloured a couple of times . . this damaged my hair, and didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped.. but still better looking then my natural colour.

wish it would just hurry up and grow.. I’m almost half way through this and I haven’t lost my mind yet, so there is no point quitting now.

I’ve come a long way! However, the gleamyness seems to be sucking. Not even shoulder length and the weight of it is making the hair lay flat.. and I haven’t coloured it yet because I’m dead broke and feel it’s too short to bother with at this point anyways.

all in all, my hair looks crappy but it’s long enough to put in a ponytail and forget about. I’m much less enthusiastic about it, but I have to admit even at this length it’s actually less work to maintain then when I buzzed it off.

so I’m eating lots of protein and not thinking about it.

my harshest cricit (my twin) gushed over my hair on christmas eve.. apperantly it looks great.. I was getting dicouraged actually.. though I had wasting all that money on this sad mop.. but apperantly not. trimming it this weekend.. might be getting it a bit too short to be pulled back but at least the split ends will be gone..

It is now (barely a low) pony tale length! Time to get some new hair thingines . .

pride! 16 months ago

cut it off again, so that the natural layers around the head caused by buzzing my whole head get a trim as well.. now my hair is just a but longer than a bob .. a very healthy, gleamy, well loved bob. Just switched my shampoo to a gentler one, and got some heavier conditioner. . .The hard part now it to stop combing my hair when it’s wet . . This breaks my hair badly, but it is so tempting because it keeps my hair straight. . .

I have never had hair that was as nice as this! I’m so proud!

The best things I’ve done for my hair (and might work just as well for some one else) :

- Switch to Lush cosmetics. They are natural and put WAAYY less stress on one’s hair. I went from getting split ends every 2 inches to getting them ever 6 inches of growth just by doing this.

- wash my hair once every three days. Once every 2 days is good enough for most people, but I’ve seen vast improvements by waiting longer. . Much less breakage, fewer frizzies.

- cut my damn hair. I know what I want, I do exactly what I want and I can do it whenever I deem it necessary. when my cuts get more complicated I’m going to have to get it done professionally again but while I’m just growing it out anyways, f* it.

still going! and going well. it’s been about 8 months, I have about four inches on the parts I haven’t trimmed. I plan on getting a proper cut and colour next September. . .and at that time I should have normal, you never would have guess what I used to do with it, could pass as professional hair.

goign on two inches now!! woooo!

Untitled 2 years ago

just over an inch now. maybe an inch and a half..

from one extreme to the other.. 2 years ago

so, last year on halloween I shaved me head. It was great, I’ve really enjoyed having next to no hair for the last year, but I’ve finally gotten bored. . and I have actually come across a practical reason to have longer hair : it’s too damn cold without it! I work outside now.. all day.. and I will be doing this all through winter.. and the uniform issued touques are not wamr enough, even when I can find one. So I plan not to cut my hair until march at least, unless it really starts driving me crazy.. we’ll see. I’ve got 5 years of growing until it’s down my back anyways . .
