learn to kayak

We allowed the girls to Kayak down the San Marcos on their own. I walked on foot and followed them most of the way with ron driving ahead and watching for them at the end of the trip. They both did a great job and want to learn more.

Next weekend we are going to Arkansa and doing a trip (just Ron and me with some friends of his. The girls will be going to their dads at that time)

We went to San Marcos and kayak down the river and back up. Worked on manuvers through cross currents and learned how to judge the water for the best trip. Practiced steering and how to manuvr the kayak through obstacles.

Both girls practiced as well. Ron did a great job instructing us all an we had a blast.

We went to Grapevine Lake and did a practice run working on rowing, steering, and manuvers. My daughters age 12 and 14 both loved going Kayaking and we have planned a trip next weekend on the San Marcos river.
