was ok. I’d go again, but it was based on a CD, rather than someone there leading the meditation. Although it’s easier to meditate in a group, I think an actual human leading the meditation is better, because they can sense how people are responding and adjust accordingly. I’m definitely going to try out the Tuesday evening one and see how that is.

My political masters asked for some figures urgently right on lunch hour, so I couldn’t go to the new class. Thbat was annoying.
However when I got home there was mail from the organisation running the other classes that I’m interested in. They sent me a schedule of the dates until the end of April, so that is useful.
I have found out about not one, but two meditation classes that are accessible to me. I’m going to try them out ASAP. I’ve missed having the structure of regular classes since the ones I used to go to finished.
I got up early today (6.30am) and after breakfast, I did an energising breathing meditation. It felt like making a fresh start to a new year.
Today is actually going really well – healthy food, long walk in brilliant sunshine and whale exhibition at the museum, so I hope the rest of 2008 lives up to this!
I’ve found this a bit harder going recently, because the teacher at the meditation classes I go to has left, and there have been a variety of people since then. I know people say that you don’t need classes to meditate, but I find that a class helps focus me and gives me stuff to work on until the next class.
Yesterday a friend told me about www.tricycle.com and sent me a couple of things that she had got from there. It looks really good and I think it could be useful to use this ntil the classes get sorted out.
I’ve been to my third weekly class. This seems to becoming a weekly habit. Now I just need to make it more frequent
At lunchtime I went to a meditation class that has started around the corner from where I work. I found it really calming and in a group it was surprisingly easy to meditate again.
The class was really welcome today because last night there was roadmarking taking place outside my place from 10.30 to well after midnight, with motors running and lights flashing. I was really lacking in rest this this morning and feeling frazzled. Theclass certainly helped relieve that.
I used to do this when I lived in Sydney, but I couldn’t find a class that suited when I moved back here. Now I’ve discovered one that’s starting in a couple of weeks in a really convenient location.
I think I need to go to a regular class, just to keep the discipline going. I tried meditating by myself, but it was difficult to keep up without regularly meditating in a group.
