remodel my bathroom

The bathroom is really cute. Some problems with the grouting that are annoying have come up and I haven’t had time to call the tile guy back and have them repair it all. Just some cracks in the corners. It is really nice to be able to walk in there and feel that it is clean!

I finally admitted that I just don’t have time to get it all done myself. So I got a tile guy to come in and finish the tub surround. It looks great! I just need to touch it all up, with sealer around the tub, one row of tiles next to the tub ( smaller than the old one), and put the door in that is in the middle of my room. I love showering in my own bathroom!

I just can’t seem to find the time to complete this. I got the water proof paper up. The tub is now in place and secure. I just need to put up the backer board but it is so heavy. I will have to find the time to hire someone to help me. But progress is made.

It started as a weekend project that has dragged out for months. Pipes were wrong behind the walls, electricity not up to code. The bathtub wasn’t planned to be ruined but a helper dropped tools and broke the old one. The new one is narrow, walls had to be be reframed, new insulation, and the new tub stands on end waiting to be installed for the third time, because the floor wasn’t even. Blah!
I need to put up the water proof paper. Then the tub. Then the backer board, then the tiles, then redo the floor! I can do it!
