I want to take Greek!
It’s been a goal of mine for an insanely long time- my grandfather’s Greek and he understands it, but doesn’t ever speak it. And my great-Grandmother (who the rest of my family pretends doesn’t exist… a drama I don’t understand, and I’m pretty sure none of my relatives do either) speaks it, and before she passes, I’d like to have a conversation with her in Greek.
The only problem is I know one word… for dog. And I don’t even know the context of it, or if I’m really saying it right.
My point is…
any advice on where to start? on a budget- my parents won’t exactly assist in the funding of my “crazy endeavor” and i’m pretty much broke.

i’ve been learning basic spanish since like… preschool. (well the real education probably started in 7th grade, but i distinctly remember having to say an animal in spanish to get our snacks somedays). And a lot of my friends are hispanic and speak Spanish like.. perfectly. And I studied in Spain this summer and had an AMAZING experience.
But my grammar still sucks and I worry that I’ll fail my final on Friday.
I try to apply myself but I find it’s really hard, especially considering I’m doing like a thousand other things. But I really love Spanish and I really really want to master it. When I left Spain, I was thinking in Spanish again, but then I transferred to my new gringo-school, and I swear my Spanish has gotten worse… :(
BUT I’M WORKING AT IT! OKAY?! And props to anyone else in a similar situation.
