lately, i have been doing something that helps. i use two alarms. one is soft music, and the other is that annoying , incessant beeping all of us dread. i read an article on how we shouldn’t use alarm clocks because they wake us up directly from deep sleep, with no transitional light sleep phase in between. however, if one uses soft music to wake them up 20-30 minutes before, it will take them from deep sleep to light sleep. then one goes back to sleep. When his or her alarm rings, he or she isn’t groggy, or upset.
