get my driver's license

I finally went and took the test yesterday, and totally passed. I missed 4 points, and I’m allowed to miss ten: 2 for looking over my right shoulder when I should’ve looked over my left, one for turning around before I was completely stopped on reversing, and one for backing in a bit wonky on my turnabout.

I drove to a town about 20 miles away that night to visit some friends, and the driving was easy and pretty relaxed.

I should be going Thursday to take the test. I am about to call the people to see if they can fit me in. Wish me luck!

I am almost 18, and still don’t have my license. This is really beginning to bother me, as almost all of the junior class below me has their license. As well, it bothers me because it’s not my fault – people don’t take me driving.

I’m hoping this will change soon, though. I’ve whined enough that my extended family is taking me out to practice (I lack parallel parking and backing up perfection) and then I’ll take the test.
