read the New Testament

After a brief hiatus (mostly because I wasn’t fond of my big, bulky Bible written for kids) I have begun again, and completed John and Acts. My church gives Bibles as graduation gifts, and I received a much smaller Bible with more mature commentary.

Finished Mark and part of Luke now.

I’m reading it once, without a whole lot of depth, and then I will go back later, and re-read it slower, more carefully, and figure out the confusing bits. I’ve read half of Matthew over the last few days. It’s been really helpful in getting me re-centered on what I’m doing in life.
Mostly I’m reading it right now looking for answers to help with another goal, which is how to become at peace with love, and learn to do it more fully. That is the very core of Christianity, after all.
