read 12 books in 2008

I finished All Quiet on the Western Front and Dracula, so thats eight, I still need four more

So I’m up to six with the addition of Beach Music and The Prince of Tides, both by Pat Conroy. They’re bestsellers or whatever, but I didn’t like them and were too much alike.

I’m working on East of Eden (rereading it, great book), On the Road, and A Brilliant Solution, what do you guys think?

I just finished Slaughterhouse V and the Virgin Suicides. I definately recommend them both :)

pitiful, I know, I read The Kite Runner. Its overrated. The plot line was interesting and original, but it was poorly written and was loaded with textbook examples of metaphors, imagery, foreshadowing, and foils.

One down eleven to go.

It was Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, by the way. Its really good.
