That’s how long this one seems to be taking me. I got a book in the mail today from Interweave Press called Favorite Socks. It’s got 25 beautiful patterns in it! Ahhh, inspiration!

And I haven’t gotten started on this again! Things have been busy and the days haven’t been my own. I wish I could sneak my yarn to work, but I think they’d notice.

Well, I got it going on three needles (four counting the working one) and then realized that between two of the needles is a loop that should have been tightened more. Darn.

A different approach 3 years ago

I gave up on that first pattern. It was off the label of the yarn and while that’s a nice basic pattern, when you’re trying to learn these things, it’s nice to have something to refer to. So! I went looking for sock how-to on the net and I found this! http://www.royea.net/sockdemo1.html What a wonderful thing for Terri to do, putting this all together for people like me. I’ve got to write and thank her.
