I’ve found that key isn’t about categorizing everything and keeping a folder for everything. Our minds really don’t operate that way. We don’t think like databases and file cabinents. We think chaotically and retrieve information through memory of key words and tags. So, when I keep a list of something, I tend to associate keyword or tags with it. Its much easier to search for it this way.

This is tied to starting my own company (again).
And, I’ve been keeping a task journal in a new notebook.
Having all of my tasks written down and tracked daily helps me to feel less strung out and worried about what needs to be done. I just have to consult my list in my moleskin to figure out what needs to be done.
(this is roughly based on a method that David Allen recommends in “Getting Things Done.”)
