Go to Paris

sudden impediment! i realised today at my CRB check that my passport goes out of date 6 days before i leave for paris. ARGHH! i made an appointment at the passport office for monday and they’re going to fast-track me one. for someone who prides themself on being mega-organised, this is so annoying.

It’s booked! I have flights and a hostel and a guidebook to pore over excitedly until 22nd June comes along and I can go. I’m staying at Le Village hostel in Montmartre, for three nights. Considering we didn’t book months and months in advance, it’s turned out pretty cheaply. £215 for flights and accommodation. Now all that’s left is to go and have an awesome time.

I’m going to stay with my parents for a week this weekend, and while I’m there my best friend and I will put our heads together and book and plan our trip to Paris. I can’t wait to get it all sorted so I know what I’m looking forward to!

We need to decide on dates, book flights and a hostel, and make a loose list of places we want to go. Hannah’s been before so I’m going to trust in her guidance – but I’d like to go to the Pompidou Centre and do some good old-fashioned wine drinking. And eat my own weight in wonderful French pastries, of course!

I’m excited to get the wheels in motion.
