Find work doing what I enjoy the most

That’s all I want to do – so that’s what I’ll continue to aim for. So far I sing monthly for a nursing home and another seniors group in a nearby town, and have been doing that for about 6 months. Plus I have my weekly sing along for a disabilities group.

At least to the grade I’m at. 4th grade musicianship AMEB. And if I can get into the study mode for it – take my grades further. Should I just do theory, or continue with Musicianship?

One step at a time – so much new things I’m about to embark on this year.

I’m hoping this project I’ve decided to be involved with is what I really need to help me finish a course I was doing last year, but couldn’t finish.

There are other possible benefits I’m hoping to gain from this program too.

Here’s hoping.

And at my age I’m not about to try and become one of those hot little numbers singing silly little songs.

Now that I’ve almost finished the aged care workers course – I feel that I will start to get work not only as an aged care worker – but also as a singer/entertainer (just so long as they don’t expect any jokes – I’m lousy at telling jokes).

Which might help me get a job in a local aged care facility.

But is it what I really want to do??????

Well – I’ve started the course. At least I’ll be able to work locally. I’ll see where this course will lead me.

I love doing family research. My ultimate buzz has been to finally meet my cousins aunts and uncles for the very first time in my life this year. My dad wanted company when travelling to Holland and the USA – I was able to meet some of the people I only knew by name and the occasional email.

Learning about my ancestry is fun – but meeting my live family is even much more interesting. I’m a first generation Australian.

Digging into the soil, weeding, planting something new, preparing for and putting in seeds and seedlings.

Watching the plants grow and bloom, finding new flowers or new seedlings popping up in the garden. Making new designs in the shape of the garden, putting in new beds, landscaping when I can.

Finding insects and wildlife in the garden – especially the different birds, and butterfly. Smelling the foliage and flowers of scented plants.

I feel so good after a good singing session. Knowing I’ve sung a song well and have pleased my audience really gives me a buzz.
