stop using plastic bags

On the whole I am pretty good. I carry a big enough bag around with me that alot of purchases can go it. However I get caught out far too often for me to continue this goal. Clothes shopping is the worst and I am clearly not green enough to stop using plastic bags. I am therefore accepting that I ok most days, but that I will never be able to say that I have stopped using plastic bags.

I am failing badly at this. Went shopping yesterday and ended up with bags that I didn’t really need. I am so much better at this when I am at uni and have my backpack with me. Am thinking I’m going to buy some cute looking resuable bags and put one in every single bag i use so that whenever im out i will have absolutly no excuse to use a plastic bag. I must must must must remember not to use plastic bags. grrr. I don’t need to use them and I won’t.

I read various articles in newspapers earlier this week and its made me even more determinded to stop using them. I generally stuff everything in my backpack if I can anyway as I find that having to walk for ages with carrier bags slicing into my hands is not fun. But I am completely giving them up now, as with revision I always have my backpack on me. I managed to go shopping in town today, going to various shops and managed to avoid using a bag at all other than my rucksack. However this is only one day and the supermarket shop will be far more of a challenge,
