I’ve been munching down on brown rice, spinach pasta, lots of fruit, water, and water, and more water. I had delicious oats with rice milk, apples and honey for breakfast, and seeing how much energy it gave me, will definitely be doing the same tomorrow.
Warm water, with a dash of lemon, all day, refreshing.

Detox Detour
I made a little huge detour with this goal (and it was going so well for that first day). We had Matt’s birthday, with the cake the double mud, three tiered, cream-filled, mousse-topped, choc-berry-laden cake on Tuesday. And then last night, beer and curry night – the official birthday party. And even though I drank ginger beer instead of alcohol I still feel as though I just may be brimming with toxins as a result. A whole bag of potato chips – oh dear.
So, detox starts….now.

I’m about to embark on a mini-cleanse just to refresh and rejuvenate my body before winter. As I’m still breastfeeding, I won’t be undertaking a fast, but I will be taking a week to focus on nurturing my body from the inside out.
THE PLAN
Food.
A girl’s gotta eat! This week however, I’ll be ditching bread and eating mainly fruit, brown rice, steamed vegies and fish. No beverages other than water and caffeine free teas.
Water.
I’ll be pumping my body with water, and keeping up my post-natal vitamins.
Exercise.
- My daily run begins tomorrow. 43 and counting…
- I think I should head back to “mummy and me yoga” on Tuesday. Yes, I sense a new goal here…
- I’ll be making 15 minutes every evening for meditation. It is true, I have neglected my meditation ritual for far too long. It’s been years!
