Mirrors Edge delivers you straight into the shoes of this unique heroine as she traverses the vertigo inducing cityscape, engaging in intense combat and fast paced chases. for the simple reason that I can’t simply go out and buy any game. This needs to be a game, just for me.
For you see, I’m the kind of gamer who can’t stand it when the pesky boys in my circle of friends play the same game as me, and before I’ve even had a chance to load it up (I am a mummy after all so I don’t clock many console hours ya dig?) they get into these technical arguments about the gameplay tactics and go into elaborate details about the plot, the items they find, the glitches they encounter, how many times they’ve finished it, and so on and so on.
Newsflash boys: no-one cares!
Well I don’t anyway. In fact, the macho posturing and competitive gamer discussions make me soooo irritated I’ve decided to buy and play a game that they don’t want to play. I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to hear about it. I just wanna zone out in front of a game without having the whole thing spoiled by BOYS.
Phew.
Game (and rant) over.
