redecorate my apartment

Me and my finace want to do up our one bedroom small condo in Virginia, Reston. We have tried doing some stuff in our living room but with the space constraint and the huge furniture pieces he already has we have sorta given it up. I cant think of anything to do to enhance its apperance and make it look more cosy and yet romantic, warm , homely and artistic. I would love to have a look like that and yet have spent considerable amount of tim and money trying to do that and have given up the hope. We were wondering if the crew from Hgtv COULD HELP US WITH IT.
