Found 3 of the lbs I lost… damn you, xmas dinner!!!



198 lbs - 80 lbs, and then some... 12 months ago

As of this morning, my current weight is 198 lbs – 2 over my goal of losing 80lbs.

I changed my goal to 100 lbs, but I will probably stay at 185lbs, I seen other 6’2” guys at 185lbs and they look pretty good.

I would like to get down to 10-15% body fat (Aparently, I’m at 22% right now, based on this website http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/home-body-fat-test-2774-143.html)



202 lbs - 78 gone - two to go. 12 months ago

I didn’t go to the gym twice a day, as I wanted, but I’m at 202 lbs.

I’m back to my original program, one hour of elliptical a day. I really want to get down to 200lbs before start gaining muscle weight.

Everybody keeps telling me that I’m ok now, that I should not lose more weight. I beg to disagree… I’ll like to get down to 195 lbs, and stay at that weight.

I’m looking for a good pull up bar to finally start with p90x, took my “before” pictures a couple of days ago:

I got quite a bit of saggy skin on my stomach… losing 78lbs leaves that kind of mark, I guess.



Thanksgiving didn't help 13 months ago

I’m at 204 lbs – Lost 76lbs, 4lbs to go… I’m seriusly considering doing a 2 times a day gym marathon to get rid of this last stupid 4lbs once and for all, and mark this goal as complete. Still, I need to get rid of another 5-10 lbs.

The scale is not moving that much, but I’m definitively burning fat. I’m also gaining muscle, especially on my legs. Yesterday I got my first 32W 34L jeans since highschool (Levi’s 550 relaxed fit)

I’m concerned now about the lose skin in my abdomen… After dropping 76 lbs, my belly looks pretty bad… I guess there isn’t much to do, but hope that after a couple of years of being on my target weight and exercise, the skin will tighten a bit… but I’ll worry about that bridge once I get there…

No big changes on the scale, I’ll keep up with my diet and exercise.

Hope to get down to 203 by the end of the week.

I been kinda sick for the last couple of weeks – cold, flu, cough, the works.

I had to put Power 90 on hold, so I’m back to the elliptical, for around 45 minutes a day. So I lost a few pounds, but it wasn’t in a healthy way…

So I hope to get back on track soon.



About protein bars - Fat and sugar alcohols 14 months ago

I was eating a lot of proteing bars(four or five a day). less than four “net” carbs per serving… not too bad, right?

Well, there are a couple of problems with these bars. First, they have a lot of fat… especially saturated fats… I love the Atkins coconut bars, but at 9g of saturated fat per bar, is just too much.

Most bars have between 8 and 12 g of fat, so having one or two a day is ok, but eating half of my suggested fat intake just on bars left little room for anything else.

The bigger problem on the bars, at least for me, are the sugar alcohols, as they give me stomatch ache (again, one bar a day was fine, but having four was too much)

So I’m looking for alternatives to the low carb bars, other than soy milk/protein powder shake.

I’ve been pretty sick the last few days, got a nasty cold… I couldn’t breathe, so I had to cut excercise a lot. I lost a few pounds, I’m at 209 now, confortable on a 34W – I guess if I get down to 200lbs I’ll prolly fit on 32W pants – we’ll see.



got hurt... again... 14 months ago

hurt my right foot again, on sunday 5th… I couldn’t do any exercise since then, I tried last monday, but I had to stop…

I’ll go to back to the elliptical, until I fell that I can get back on my regular exercise routine. But at least I havent put any weight, still at 212lbs.

Lost quite a bit of weight in the last couple of days… very exciting… :D

I went to a party yesterday, only ate a bit of chicken… I’m the man! oh had a margarita last nite… just one, really!

Eating my protein bars, chicken breast, turkey wraps, and protein powder… I been pretty hungry during the last week, but I’m eating enough food, calaries/nutrients wise… a bagel with cream cheese have a lot more “filling power” than a little protein bar…
btw, havent had a bagel in many, many months… :D
